We’re In House Design

Established over 25 years ago by Jackie and Andy, In House Design has continued to grow whilst maintaining a personal approach to all aspects of the business. With Jackie and Andy at the helm, and remaining the ‘face’ of the company, they have built up a highly skilled, professional team who enjoy interacting with each client in a very individual way.

Unlike a lot of showhome design companies, here at In House Design we have our own warehousing and transport facilities. We also have our own installation team so that when we undertake a project we can guarantee that everything will run smoothly and on time. Whether it’s a glorious sea front apartment or a fine country home, each will receive the same attention to detail by our dedicated team. As well as a large warehouse, we also have our own design studio where we can source a huge variety of soft furnishings, accessories, pictures etc. from national and international suppliers.

Jackie Eager

Director

“Do you think we could make a go of this showhome business?” Her words over 25 years ago. Well quite obviously YES. That’s how it started after a couple of glasses of wine on a particular Friday night. Jackie had known Andrew for several years previously to starting In House Design, in fact Jackie went to school with Andrew's wife, Karen. The evening in question was just them meeting up as friends just for a glass or two.

Jackie and Julie share the client base and take on individual projects as they come in. Jackie also holds the key to the safe, the treasure chest, all bank accounts and even the biscuit fund. Like Julie, Jackie’s attention to detail is key in everything she does. Whether it’s dressing a dining room table or submitting the company’s VAT return, nothing is ever overlooked. It can honestly be said she is the very heartbeat of In House Design.

Andrew Knight

Director

Bit of an all-rounder! Client liaison, installations, warehouse operative and even occasional lorry driver. Andrew is also the first point of contact for the company and looks after the sales and marketing side of the business, in short, he’s the one trying to beat a path to any new prospective client’s front door.

Over the years Andrew has helped to build an enviable client base with both developers and estate agents throughout the South of England and even secured the company its first off shore contract albeit on the Isle of Wight! Not far but you wouldn’t like to walk it!

Julie Langstaff

Account Manager / Designer

Julie’s role within the company is Designer and Account Manager. She and Jackie look after every individual project from start to finish, producing design schemes and liaising with our wide client base. Julie’s eye for detail is crucial in her role, she makes sure every single aspect of any current project is thought through and delivered on time and with-in budget.

Julie has been with the company for over 20 years and has at some time or other encountered just about any challenge that sometimes comes our way. Part of her role is to liaise with not only Jackie and Andrew but also with our own in-house installations team to make sure that when we arrive on site everything runs as smoothly as possible. Julie’s role for In House Design is from preparing initial concepts to final installation and dressing.
